In his 'thank you' to the fans, David talks about a new film project he has in the works now that filming has wrapped for season two of Atlantis. It is a new movie written by him, starring Paul McGillion (Dr. Beckett), his sister Kate Hewlett and David. It will be directed by David and produced by his girlfriend Jane and is supposed to be a dark comedy.

Filming is to begin in January.

He has arrived in Sydney....

I've just arrived in Sydney. Had a wonderful time in both New Zealand and Melbourne. I'm still a little overwhelmed by this amazing journey but I'll tell you guys all about our adventures when I get back to LA. Thank you to everyone who has come out to see me so far and to those that are planning to do so in Sydney and Brisbane. Looking forward to it.

November 2, 2005 13:22 - Amanda Tapping on Stargate Atlantis

Stargate SG-1 co-star Amanda Tapping will return to the Stargate franchise next season, the actress confirmed in a message posted at her official Web site. Tapping, who has played Air Force officer Samantha Carter for nine years on the hit show, hoped to put to rest rumors surrounding her future with the series following last weekend's GABIT convention appearance (story).

"I have every intention of returning to Stargate next year," Tapping said. "No, my contract has not been signed, but I fully expect that it will be soon. Yes, I have been offered the possibility of working o­n both SG-1 and Atlantis. To what extent still remains to be seen, but I will be doing a total of 20 shows or a full season. Am I happy about it? You betcha!"
