December 2, 2005 21:52 - New Battlestar Galactica Blog

This time it's called David and Ron Make the Rounds: Link! (right click and save as!)

The talk about episode 215 (Sacriface) and we get a glimpse of Dana Delaney (who plays Sesha, and she is sort of naughtily hilarious!).

And OH! Dee wearing a sort of cocktail dress (beige, satin...).... AND JAIME BAMBER WITH A FAKE BULLET WOUND IN HIS UPPER CHEST (big blood stain if you ask me), and he is wearing casual clothes! And DE says "You look fabulous" to JB... and I cannot agree more! OMG! Maybe Lee and Dee were in a DATE!!! And the key make-up artist says (when asked by DE) that "katee's character" is the one who shots Lee, and they joke about it a bit... (evil evil evil people, they love to torture us poor fans). And what's with all those weird baby pictures (for episode 217)? DE is hilarious!!!! REALLY! I WANT THESE VIDEOBLOGS IN THE DVDS PLEASE! And oh! more Billy and they joke about Mary's character... Paul is hilarious!

December 3, 2005 17:14 - Galactica Cast 'Signs' Up For Charity Auction

If you've been fortunate enough to spend some time on the set of the new Battlestar Galactica here in Vancouver, one thing becomes apparent immediately: this is a great cast and crew, all of whom are intelligent, talented and hard working individuals

All of whom are intelligent, talented and hard working individuals, and many of whom have a strong social conscious concerning the world around them.

So when Alexander Leung, one of the designers from Battlestar Galactica's art department, got together with Grace Park to suggest the principal cast sign a unique piece of Galactica memorabilia and auction it on eBay to benefit the BC Children's Hospital Foundation, it didn't surprise us one iota.

The auction is for an extremely rare Battlestar Galactica Poker Set (a SCI FI Channel promo item).

December 8, 2005 11:24 - An Ode To Baltar

An Ode To Baltar is over at SyFyPortal
"Villains, like blondes, have more fun." -- Actor John Colicos

Close your eyes and try to imagine James Callis of the new "Battlestar Galactica" declaring, "At long last I've overtaken Adama with sufficient strength to blow him out of the sky!"

Or announcing, "I've decided that the city of Gamoray will be my seat of power. From it, I will decide how and where I will extend my dominion throughout the star system."

Hmmm...it just doesn't quite right, does it?

It's no knock on Callis, but his Baltar bears no resemblance to John Colicos' original.

But, then, no one ever did ...

December 19, 2005 12:30 - Random Spoilery from Ressurection Ship

Expect none of this to be in any kind of order. It is, however, quite interesting.

Source: The Secret Cylon

Resurrection Ship Spoilers!! (Highlight below in order to see the spoilers.

Okay, I've tried to put in order all the spoilerish bits and pieces I found in the GA forums regarding Resurrection Ship.

I don't know how accurate or real are these, whatever.

The "Smooch" between Adama and Roslin is just a friendly peck.
She's talking with him and is about to give him the box with his admiral ranks in it. He thanks her...and gives her a friendly kiss..

"So...you and the president...."... "Yes"
Apollo talking with his Adama.

***

Tyrol and Helo get beaten with soap wrapped in towels; this seems to be some old army thing, this way it does not leave many marks.

***

The whole Lost in Space Lee happens during the big battle.
Lee is flying the Black Bird during the attack, his mission is destroying the Resurrection Ship FTL drive. Hi accomplishes the mission and then, due to some accident or momentary mistake, the Black Bird explodes or something and Lee had to eject. Lee's flightsuit must get damaged at some point, so Lee covers the hole in his suit with his hand… and eventually he releases it because he basically "gives up." The images of Lee floating in a lake are near-death visions, him letting go of the air coincides with him letting go and sinking beneath the surface of the lake.

Adama sends a search and rescue raptor…when the emergency signal is sent out. "See if he had time to eject," he says.

***

Cain and Adama both hatch assassination plots against each other.

Roslin tells Adama that they have to kill Cain.

Adama: "what you're talking about is murder"
Roslin: "don't judge a dying woman"
Adama: "you're not dying today"

Kara hugs Lee because she is upset given that Adama asked her to kill Cain. Lee's job is to back her up.

"I am so very proud of you..." Cain says this to Kara after the battle, right before Kara is going to "shoot her in the head" as Adama asked.

Eventually Adama calls it off and Cain calls off the hit on Adama as well.

We all know that Gina is who eventually kills Cain, don't we?

Kara seems to REALLY admire Cain at the end, her speech at Cain's funeral demonstrates that. Respect.

What Cain did: she found civilian ships, then stripped them for parts, jump drives, etc, and then selected certain people to go to the Pegasus, leaving the rest behind. Anyone refusing to go, she had their entire family SHOT!!!!!

***

Dee is just sad because Lee just wanted to die out there and he didn't want to return.
Lee, zoning out on his bed. Kara over him, Dee outside listening, eavesdropping more like ;). Kara asks "Lee what's wrong," and Lee tells her he didn't WANT to make it back...she said that "it's ok, it's ok you had a rought time, anyone would feel that way..."

***

How does Gina escape? Baltar kinda distracts the guard, we don't now if that's intentional or not, and Gina beats the crap outta the guard and then snaps his neck. She then grabs the gun and pleads with Baltar to kill her. She didn't seem to want to be resurrected. Suicide is a sin, so she doesn't want to do herself.
"I need to die"
"no...what you need..is justice"
then he tells her he knows where he can hide her, and she'll be safe...
"why would you do that"?
"because I love you"
Gina shoots and kills Cain.

***

"I bet it's for creating new biocylon bodies and there's some special way it collects the downloaded consciousness of dead cylons and uploads them into new bodies. Like maybe a big receiver tower." That's what Baltar says, after talking with Gina.

When they attack it/destroy it, a LOT of bodies come spewing out.

***

And some more stuff I don't know where to place:

There are two VERY tense phonecalls.

Cain promotes Kara to CAG.

Roslin is already not feeling ok.

Fisk, the XO of the Peggy, becomes the new CO of the Peggy. According to the guy who posted the spoiles at GA: Fisk was one orange away from putting a bullet in Adama's head.

For those interested: there is no "sex" in either of the two episodes.

An these random lines:
* hey...YOU, You call me "sir"
* They got you doin' courier runs now?
* "Oh, by the way, there was something i wanted to tell you..."
* "I have a mission for you..."

Also, there is new picks over at Dark Thoughts for this episode as well.

December 19, 2005 13:06 - Here's some real silliness - Trot on over to Drabble-Matic

Love Interest's gender: Maile

Adj. 1: sweet
Adj. 2: cute
Adj. 3: well-built
Adj. 4: affectionate

Transitive Verb - infinitive: twist
Same verb - past tense third: twisted

Prep. phrase: in the depths of space
Extended metaphor: like a crack in a space suit sucks air through at slow speeds, silent and deadly.

This is the first story I got from Drabble-Matic

I'm Dreaming Of A Brave Christmas

It was Christmas Eve. Kara sat sarcastically in the depths of space, sipping cute eggnog.

She looked at the silly viper hanging on the Christmas Tree and sighed. Last year, Lee had hung it there, just before they looked at each other huskily and then fell into each other's arms and twisted each other's lips.

If only I hadn't been so curious, Kara thought, pouring a self-sacrificing amount of rum into her eggnog. Then Lee might not have got so loveable and left me all alone at Christmas time. She wiped away an affectionate tear and held her arm in her hand.

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door and then a sweet voice lifted quietly up in song.

I'm dreaming of a brave Christmas
Just like a crack in a space suit sucks air through at slow speeds, silent and deadly
.

Kara ran to the door. It was Lee, looking well-built all over with snow.

"I missed you softly," Lee said. "And I wanted to twist your lips again."

Kara hugged Lee and started to sob.

"I think you're drunk," Lee said.

"I think so, too," Kara said and they twisted each other's lips until they knocked the Christmas tree over.

On Christmas Day, they ate roasted cat leg and lived wistfully until Kara got drunk again.

Okay, so it may not be great writing. I can't even say that it makes sense, but it was good for a Battlestar chuckle.
